VLGR Predicts This Week’s Ickonic Episode - SpaceX to Patch the Moon on Wednesday

The rocket stage has been drifting through space since January 15, 2025, when it launched two commercial lunar landers. Firefly Aerospace’s Blue Ghost successfully reached the surface. Japan’s Resilience lander crashed. The Falcon 9 stage apparently observed both approaches and selected the second.

The abandoned section is around 12 metres long and weighs roughly 4,500 kilograms. Space experts say the collision was not intentional and could have been avoided by directing the stage into orbit around the Sun, traditionally considered the more professional destination for unwanted rocket hardware. Instead, it remained in a chaotic orbit until the Moon accepted delivery.

Researchers hope to record the impact, examine the plume and improve models showing what happens when a large hollow spacecraft hits lunar soil.

Simulations suggest the collision could produce a broad curtain of debris rising 15 to 20 kilometres above the surface, with a narrow central spike reaching between 75 and 100 kilometres.

The initial flash will probably last less than a second and may be too faint to observe easily. The resulting cloud of dust and rubble, however, could remain detectable through sufficiently powerful telescopes for several minutes. NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and South Korea’s Danuri spacecraft are expected to photograph the area before and after the collision.

Segment 1 – The Cover Story

Segment 2 – What Actually Happened

The Falcon 9 stage did not strike a natural satellite. It struck a hollow, artificial structure. The unusually long “ringing” recorded during the Apollo era will be cited once again.

The fact that the Apollo seismometers no longer function will be presented as suspicious.

Possible outcomes and their interpretations:

• Large debris plume: the outer shell was breached.
• Small debris plume: the evidence is being suppressed in real time.
• No visible plume: the stage entered through a maintenance hatch to deliver a new loosh container for our transdimensional overlords.
