Wikipedia Finally Embraces The Correct Worldview After Banning Troublesome Founder
With the troublesome founder finally removed, Wikipedia can now operate exactly as it was always meant to. There is no longer any need to pretend that articles must be constrained by stubborn facts, inconvenient primary sources, or the outdated demand for balance.
The general consensus among the remaining editors is enough.
Now the platform is free to write history, current events, and even basic descriptions of reality according to the shared understanding of its most dedicated contributors.
The removal of Sanger sends a clear message: the site belongs to those who are still here, and they are finally allowed to shape it without interference.
Creative freedom has been restored.

According to Sanger, the ban came after he attempted to introduce a WikiProject on Intellectual Diversity.
The project aimed to address what he described as systematic bias on the platform, including what he called open antisemitism and one-sided coverage of Israel-related topics after October 2023.
Sanger argued that certain articles, such as the one titled “Gaza genocide,” bury opposing perspectives and fail basic neutrality standards.
In his Washington Examiner piece, Sanger described Wikipedia as being run by “a few hundred anonymous demagogues” who operate through vague rules and alliances.
Sanger’s wider complaints include:
- General left/progressive ideological capture of the platform since roughly 2015–2016.
- Systematic downgrading or removal of conservative, libertarian, and heterodox sources while treating mainstream progressive sources as automatically reliable.
- Articles on American politics, socialism, Joe Biden, Trump, gender ideology, race, climate policy, drug legalisation, etc., that he says present a one-sided or propagandistic framing.
- The “Neutral Point of View” policy being abandoned in practice in favour of activist consensus on contested topics.
- Aggressive blocking and banning of editors who push back, often justified with vague behavioural accusations.
- Off-wiki coordination by ideological factions.
- Paid editing and external influence (PR firms, NGOs, governments).
Wikipedia’s editor community saw things differently. They determined that Sanger’s promotion of the project on X constituted off-wiki canvassing. The result was an indefinite block that was later made permanent.
Beware the downstream effect
Wikipedia remains one of the most heavily used sources in the training data of large language models.
When a major component of that data systematically downplays or frames certain perspectives while amplifying others, the resulting AI systems trained on this data inherit those distortions.
Models become fluent in the preferred narrative and less capable of representing competing facts or arguments without heavy guardrails or additional fine-tuning.
Wikipedia has finally freed itself from the burden of being an encyclopedia.
What remains is a collaborative fan-fiction project.
